Master all upgrade systems to maximize your Brainrot collection efficiency, reach deeper zones, and dominate the game.
The order you upgrade matters significantly for progression speed. Follow this priority to optimize your gameplay.
Reach deeper zones for rarer Brainrots
Collect multiple Brainrots per trip
Unlock more Brainrot slots
Boost individual earnings
Speed is the most critical upgrade in the game because it directly determines:
Pro Tip: Every point of speed opens new possibilities. Don't stop upgrading until you can comfortably reach rare zones!
Find the Upgrade Shop near the starting line in the game lobby. It's usually marked and easy to spot when you spawn.
| Tier | Name | Strategic Role |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Wooden | Base Perimeter Exploration |
| 2 | Diamond | Mid-Field Access |
| 3 | Ruby | Outrunning Early Lava |
| 4 | Nature | Deep Field Excursions |
| 5 | Heaven | Consistent Godly Farming |
| 6 | Steampunk | High-Tier Traversal |
| 7 | Future | Near-Apex Speed |
| 8 | Electric | APEX (8,000 Speed) Flight-like Physics |
When you rebirth, your speed will reset to 0. Make sure to accumulate high-earning Brainrots at your base before rebirthing so you can quickly regain speed afterward. Learn more on the Rebirths page.
At Tier 8 (Electric Treadmill), you reach 8,000 speed. This fundamentally changes the game's physics.
Speed kills... if you can't control it.
Carry capacity determines how many Brainrots you can collect in a single trip, which directly affects your efficiency:
While speed is #1, don't neglect carry capacity. Here's the optimal approach:
Focus 80% on speed, 20% on carry capacity
Balance 50/50 between speed and carry capacity
Maximize carry capacity once speed is sufficient
Carry capacity upgrades are available at either a dedicated "Carry Shop" or within the same Upgrade Shop where you buy speed. Look for the carry capacity option in the upgrade menu.
Your base starts with limited platforms for placing Brainrots. Upgrading your base unlocks:
Priority: Upgrade base platforms once you have sufficient speed and carry capacity. No point having slots if you can't fill them efficiently!
Don't rush base upgrades early - focus on speed first
Only upgrade when all current platforms are occupied
Better to have fewer high-value Brainrots than many low-value ones
As you get rarer Brainrots, replace common ones even if slots aren't full
Each Brainrot at your base can be upgraded individually to boost its income generation. This is a lower priority upgrade but becomes important in late game.
| Upgrade Type | Priority | Impact | When to Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speed (+1, +5, +10) | Highest | Access to deeper zones, better Brainrots | Always - never stop until maxed |
| Carry Capacity | High | Collect more per trip, save time | After reaching ~100 speed |
| Base Platforms/Floors | Medium | More Brainrot slots, higher total income | When current platforms are full |
| Individual Brainrot Boost | Low | Enhanced earnings per Brainrot | Late game with spare income |
